So you can make shitty dollar store t-shirts reading stuff like "down with Security" or "fuck the QM" or whatever.
also it'd be kind of cool if you could actually wear shirts separately from pants, but I don't see that happening

Well if they're just for decoration, put them on the exosuit/armor slot
