So, currently, if you get reassigned to a new job, it can actually be impossible to get your hands on the PDA cart for your job. This patch adds four more cartridges (Genetics, Janitor, Mechanic, and Quartermaster) to the CartyParty vendor, so that those are more attainable.
I consider these of minimal risk. The QM cartridge allows you to see but not approve or delete order requests and the order history, but that's not all that much.

+1, more job mobility for crewmen is good
Code question though: when you use a mechanics cart to scan something does it go to every ruckingenur kit? Or is it tied to the cart somehow?

No idea, but I'm guessing it acts like the handheld scanner does, where you have to beat it against the ruckingenur kit to transfer the blueprint.

The mechanics cart automatically sends the scan to all ruck kits through radio communication. It is superior in every way to a device analyzer with the exception that you have to have messaging turned on, thereby making yourself vulnerable to PDA bombs.
