[FEATURE] Custom Admin-spawnable banana grenade variants - Noah Buttes - 05-20-2017
Gives admins a special verb to create a grenade that will spit out five copies of a specific object. Works with just about anything, from plasma glass to y-drone spawners.

does this include active grenades. 'fire in the hole' throws a grenade which splits into five active incendiary grenades

Unfortunately, those aren't separate objects, so no.
Edit: You probably *could* make ones that self-activate on coming into existence though
