Here's a bug to tickle your funny bone:
If a handspider escapes down a disposal chute and that disposal chute happens to be redirected into the loafer, the handspider will (obviously) be loafed.
However... The loafed handspider will not go back to the hivemind. The loafer is so powerful it tears the mind from changeling hivemind.
All fear and praise to the loafer, eater of handspiders.

It's so powerful it erases the consciousness of the handspider from the ling and turns it into nutritional loafs.
