So I'm actually lifting this idea in part from a LARP which I attend - what if when you attempt to get rid of special kudzu plants (higher TC crystal? admin gimmick?) by burning them they release smoke containing some reagent. I want to see people getting hopelessly high on drugs or ODing on omnizine as they attempt to remove kudzu with a flamethrower.

Maybe Merging Kudzu with another plant seed will put that plant's reagents into it.
Atleast, I think that's how Botany Works. I'm a noob at Botany.

Then again, this could create exploding Kudzu, which could create a giant bomb if no one notices it and someone kicks one. Blowing up half the station and dealing lag.

if ppl can infuse peanuts with ultra sugar, it should be possible to infuse kudzu with... stuff

I'd suggest treading carefully here. People already ragequit with an early round kudzu+powersink combo. Kudzu can only be as effective as it is because it lacks lethality.

Yeah, i like the idea of these plants growing special flowers that have effects, like the blobs tiles but less debilitating.

Some of the flowers could just a be source of harvesting rare chems for a traitor that wants to trade time for a very noticeable giant plant

I go to the Southern California chapter of the Dystopia Rising LARP (nation-wide weekend long post apoc zombie theme). Its good times. The mod in question was the end mod for a weekend a couple months ago and we faced a kudzujuana plant. It was precisely what you might expect.
