Suiciding and cancelling makes you unable to suicide - Firebarrage - 12-14-2016
If you type suicide, click yes on the confirmation box, and then click cancel on the suicide options box, the game thinks you are committing suicide and you cannot run the command again.

Also, if you open the context menu and move away from an object (or are pushed) but select it in the menu, you stay alive and can't suicide.
For instance: if I typed suicide in front of the smelter, opened the menu, got pushed away from the smelter but selected it in the menu anyway, I would remain alive and unable to suicide.

also suiciding in regular doors doesn't seem to work. or maybe just doors you dont have access to/or are without power
edit: regular doors as opposed to lockdown doors or whatever

At full health I tried to suicide with a phaser. I received one phaser shot worth of damage, and got told I was already committing suicide when I tried to use a different method. A little underwhelming.
