New bamboo doesn't actually give shoots - Nnystyxx - 10-07-2016
Using a knife on the bamboo stalk item (added to botany by Arborinus' patch) does not actually create bamboo shoots despite printing a message that it does so.
EDIT: Also the wood texture is oddly luminous and shows up as nearly white when used for a jumpsuit

I can confirm this, using the knife on the stalk results in no items generating at all.
