or at least put out the fire on a mob. really only relevant for the chemistry emergency shower

That's because there's no firefighting foam in them; that's the only thing that removes fire on a mob, except for rolling on the floor.
There really should be foam there, but I guess you can walk to the foam tank outside toxins if you want.
