Emag-able Goggles - Totheark - 03-26-2016 For example, Emagging spectroscopic goggles makes the scanners leave out most poisons (Might be hell to code), Mesonic still lets you see everything in the station, except people, and emagging thermals nullifies the effect. Obviously these are fairly basic ideas and need working on, but I feel like it'd be an interesting way to mess with people. Could be the opposite too like the hypospray, emagging them gives benefits RE: Emag-able Goggles - 69andahalf - 03-26-2016 While these are cool ideas, it'd be nice if there was something other than an emag that did it. Emags have a million and one uses already and really don't need a ton more. Perhaps glasses could actually be hackable? It's always fun to see what you can take apart on the station and it could be expanded to ideas such as building or upgrading your own custom pair of goggles. I could imagine taking parts out of the googles and replacing them with craftable made parts to tweak or improve their functionality or be subtly sabotaged. RE: Emag-able Goggles - robertGN - 03-27-2016 IMO you should be able to make old thermals with really expensive materials. sneaky edit: as in, upgrade an existing pair RE: Emag-able Goggles - atamusvaleo - 03-28-2016 This would be a nice use of the craftable lenses people were recently discussing. RE: Emag-able Goggles - Nnystyxx - 03-28-2016 +1 to the idea of fucking around with goggles and other station equipment |
