[Feature] The Viral Outbreak event now uses pathology. - Erik - 03-11-2016

The Viral Outbreak event now uses wrap_pathogen to generate a random pathogen and infect a random living human on the station.

Patch: https://gist.github.com/Chnkr/73d9a6ff8df0645a70c8

Edit: It might actually be a better idea to not use random pathogens, since there is a small chance you end up with a pathogen that might gib people, which could be hilarous, but also severe and a total round ender if people aren't aware of the inner workings of pathology and the cargo CDC crates.

I'm glad to see that someone is looking into this. You are right that certain symptoms could be an issue and I would suggest making a system that weights both the number of symptoms, how severe they are, and ensuring that they have at least one contagious symptom. The following work contains a proposal of mine from not too far back. Feel free to use it - either as a springboard or in its entirety. http://forum.ss13.co/showthread.php?tid=5961

The entire viral outbreak even has been removed recently, rendering this patch useless. Could someone move this into rejected? smile

Alternatively we could put it back in in this superior form and people can learn the system/panic/blame me. smile
