Being able to sponge up your water and wring it back into the bucket is really useful if you actually want to clean things. Also, it allows for meta-trolling by a borg who wants to follow around the slip-happy janitor and sponge up all the water.

Why cant they just have a buffer instead of legs? It's kind of a tragedy that they dont have a spray bottle too.
