I'm guessing this has to do with the reworked Pathogen system - I received a cold from a random event and went to a dispenser to get chicken soup, downing two entire containers, but it didn't seem to help even slightly. The wiki says it's RNG-based, but it seems like a 10 percent chance would proc inside of 150 ticks.

It still does, but because the disease is airborne, chances are you're getting reinfected right away by standing near or passing by other crew members. I may do some testing (reduced virulence, increased probability to grant immunity once cured) and see how it works out.

I can confirm that basically every single time I try to cure the cold, I immediately contract it again within about thirty seconds of continuing normal station business. It's really irritating.

The cold and flu changes: virulence down from 100% to 30%, immunity chance when cured up from 0% to 25%. Might be less irritating, I hope? You can also wear internals to cut down the risk of infection by 70%.
