More uses for the radio telescope? - atomic1fire - 05-19-2015

I know it's used for finding soul steel, and maybe a dumb joke, but I kinda think it could use a little bit more depth.

I don't know if the admins plan on doing anything more with it, (I assume so, otherwise it would probably not be added) But maybe some cool one off dungeons or some random event tie ins.

e.g during a radio interference event, maybe the radio teleporter could behave oddly, teleporting people into other areas?

I recall asking the admins about it, and apparently it was the project of...I want to say Keelin. Unfortunately, from the way he was talking about it, I don't think I should be expecting much on this front for a while.

On the other hand, an examination of the projected Cogmap2 shows that the long-range teleporter gets its own little room, suggesting that there might be more in store for it later down the road.

Because I'm not representative of the entire Goonstation population.

Though I can't speak for any of the coders, I'd say it's safe to assume a good amount of telesci related things have been postponed until CogMap 2 goes up, save for the 15 key door.

Hmm.. did not know about this one.

This is a kinda ongoing project by Keelin that lost steam a bit for whatever reasons. I'm sure either he or some other coder (maybe me!) will pick it back up soon.
