Hello, welcome to the thunderdome tournament! This is a double-elimination tournament. There will be 8 teams, with 11 matches. See the setup above for the tourney layout.
The tournament begins on:
Saturday, May 2nd at 2:00 GMT -7
We will have to wait for the already started round at this time to restart. The new round will be the tournament round, which will be set to extended. If you're on during the tourney round please participate in the tournament!

Weapons are chosen by a roll of dice with skybee on IRC. Teams will have a random chance to get select choices of weaponry (or only one choice) depending on which number has been rolled. If there is a choice, players can vote on which weapon they'd prefer or have an admin pick for them. As the rounds progress, more weapons are unlocked. Players may only use the picked weapon during the match.
1: Bare hands
2: Fork, or Screwdriver
3: Cakehat, Crowbar, or Wrench
4: Fire extinguisher, Toolbox, or Gas tank
Round 2 Unlocks:
5: Welder
6: Taser gun, or Energy gun (bolts only, melee allowed)
Round 3 Unlocks:
7: Green Chainsaw, or Syndicate Dagger
8: Stun baton, or Police baton
9: Shard, Scissor, Razor Blade, or Scalpel
Round 4 Unlocks:
10: Laser gun, Shotgun Box, or Revolver Box

Each team will have a special roll before each match start for additional items or NPC's. These items can be used in addition to the team's main weapon.
1. Armor vests (for the whole team)
10. Spoons (for the whole team)
12. Microbomb implant
13. Medkit
14. Bee egg
20. Space Bear (spawned in thunderdome)
23. Medkit
50. Sleepy pen

You will be assigned a weapon to use during the match, only use this item
You may use your hands to kill a K.O.'d opponent
Once the Team Room doors open the match begins
Don't AFK during a match, suiciding will probably get you kicked out, please participate, if you're having connection issues then you'll get replaced until you resolve the issue
Please don't cheat

Aside from just having fun with space friends, there are prizes!
Depending on the champion team size the steam game prize value will vary:
1 winner (30 USD value)
2 winners (15 USD value)
3 winners (10 USD value)
4, or 5 winners (I doubt we'll get this many on a team, 10 USD value)
If the teams end up somehow getting bigger I'll try to see what I can do for steam prizes

2 Antagonist Token per winner
Second Place
1 Antagonist Token per winner

Something that isn't quite clarified in the post: How big are the teams, and how do the teams work? Do you just throw all of the members of a team against all of the other members of a team, do you select one team member per fight? Is there any limit on team size?

oh I'm sorry I didn't quite say that teams would be assigned according to how many people want to play. if we get 16 players, we can have teams of two, 24 players = teams of three, 32 players = four and so on. People playing on #4 will be asked to join the tournament, so we *should* get at least teams of two I'm hoping.

I'm in the same position as pizzatiger/babayaga, as long as my chat blindness is cured, I am down.
Also the special rolls sound like they could really weight the dice.

Did this happen? The whole thing was a bit vague, like what server it was on, what the teams were, etc. Also, it seems like a lot of people couldn't make the EU time, would anyone be interested competing in an NA tournament at a different time? If so I'm sure we can try setting up the same thing or something similar at a time that works better for denizens of NA.
