Serious chemistry exploit? - Ali0en - 03-20-2015

1. Make a mix that encases yourself in ice
2. Mix a second one that causes explosions
3. Encase yourself in a block of ice
5. Activate your explosive mix
6. You take absolutely no damage from the explosion and can just kick yourself out of the ice block

The explosion should happen in the ice block, not outside of it. Someone was doing this and killed a bunch of people.

This has been in for a while, I believe. It's not just explosive mixes - I once saw a guy detonate transfer valve bombs from the safety of an ice cube multiple times.

It seems like this happens with alot of container related items.

A strelka for example could detonate black powder from safely inside. This is far more exploitable than one may think, seen as pods can cover scorched tiles and the stelka is incredibly robust.

The syndicate closets also do this.

And I think barring the syndicate closets otherwise they'd serve little purpose, that it's really unbalanced.

I once welded a changeling in a crate and he set of a ttv in response.

he lived. I didn't.

he lived through a bomb he set off from INSIDE a crate and I died inside.

ridiculous.

Hm, i remember at one point that setting off explosives inside a container would blow you out of it at the very least (yes, even floor closets!)
