Clown Traitor Item: Non-Slip Clown Shoes - FawkesFTK - 01-30-2015
Low TC cost clown shoes (2-4 TC)
Basically just clown shoes that keep you from falling over all the time and make you immune to anything that would usually slip the rest of the crew, wet floors, bananas, your own fuckin PDA.
They might appear slightly different on examination, maybe have a different squeak as they're walked in.

I just can't approve of any clown, traitor or not, who doesn't wear his or her clown shoes. It's just poor form.

I don't think the clown really needs a unique pair of galoshes. Plus not wearing your clown shoes takes some of the fun out of being a clumsy oaf traitor.

if you add them make them cost 10 telecrystals and also very obvious. that way, the clown doesnt have fancy toys to use in the fight against the entire crew (who likely is furious the clown has abandoned the classic shoes)

I had a similar idea but instead of the shoes just tripping you they also tripped anyone around you.

Actually, clown shoes were made to slip clowns up because it was a punishment job on goonstation. On other stations they generally don't make you slip at all, so it would be kinda funny if these were a traitor item that when examined said, "these seem imported..." or something along those lines.

it would be pretty smart for a clown to put smaller shoes inside of big clown shoes using his smarts, who the hell else could pull off an oreo wrapper as an ID? while we're at it, how about we add common sense to that and allow them to add a basic face mask to it, because clowns don't actually wear masks IRL, so get over it.
If a staff assistant can breath in a horse mask than a clown should be able to breath in his mask too. You know as well as I do that the shoes are absolutely garbage, I love them but the tripping is ridiculous, the clown already spawns with a genetic defect. Considering the clown is usually murdered for just being in peoples presence, you might even the playing field a little.
Especially if there get's to be all this game mechanic changing just for the blob, I mean come on! You have zippo lighters burning out after 10 seconds of being open, they have to be refueled with OIL!

Maybe make it a surplus crate item that spawns with banana grenades? My idea with this would be that you could just make a field of banana peels then be able to run up to your victims and splash radium/make them Bill/whatever it is you're gonna do without slipping yourself up
