If this is a feature, my apologies - I haven't been playing too often recently.
Glass shards can no longer be welded into sheets of glass. These shards can be obtained by breaking a glass window.
If this is intended, please consider that this was a creative and interesting method to escape emergencies before (almost always related to building teleporters, now in the space diner).

Honestly this kind of ruins repairing the teleporter in the diner.

I knew this was a thing before! I was trying to do just that, repair that teleporter, and couldn't get the glass.

It used to be great to just run into the diner, smash a glass, and make a sheet for the teleporter. It ruins a bit of the fun, because there are no glass sheets available there.
