When you click on an open crate (or closet, probably) with a chainsaw arm, your chainsaw arm will come off and be placed in that crate/closet.

Actually, it seems to stay on your body, but a chainsaw will be placed in the crate anyway.

here's another bug: if you staple a green chainsaw to yourself and then break it by hitting shit with it, it disappears and leaves a perfectly functional arm in its place

You can't hold anything with the chainsaw arm, but it's entirely possible for someone else to put an item in the handslot for you. I'm not sure if that renders the item unusable or whether both items would hit though (e.g : chainsaw and stun baton in the same hand)
