More Medical Body Traits- Character Setup - Whele - 10-04-2025 Here are some ideas for some interesting traits and genes that I think would help round out the existing ones. Traits: Some characters have chronic illness that dealing with is a part of their lives. Asthmatic- (0): Periodic coughing, wheezing, gasping, falling over, alleviated by Salbutamol-filled hypospray that the person starts with. Or perhaps a new inhaler item! Diabetic- (0): Feeling tired and weak, blurry vision, alleviated by insulin-filled hypospray that the person starts with. Hypertensive- (0): Living large on Discount Dan's food has its consequences, and blood pressure is abnormally high. Get you some fish oil! Face Blind- (0): If a player is not wearing an ID, you do not know what their name is. Possibly more suited toward genetics, less roleplay friendly: Exploding head syndrome- (0): Periodic auditory exploding noises are heard. Not the funny kind of exploding heads. Mumbler- (0): Periodic involuntary whispering instead of speaking. Preemptively, DM is too strange a language for me to learn, so hopefully my posting these provides ideas provides entertainment value at the very least. RE: More Medical Body Traits- Character Setup - Agent reburG - 10-05-2025 I like the Mumbler and Hypertensive one, last one should be just the gene reinforced, maybe Hypotension since we got the opposite as a gene too. About Asthmatic and Diabetic, there seems to be generally an avoidance of these to implement. I think, as long they are respectfully portrait and still balanced (can't believe how weird that sounds), there should be no hindering to add them. I ABSOLUTELY do NOT want a 0 Trait to hand out hyposprays, I think you mean auto-injectors, which would be consistent with the Allergic traits. (PS, if you want pseudo Inhalers, fill a medical vape with salbutamol, works about the same) |
