Keybind to close your eyes. - True_Blue_Flare - 05-17-2025
We should have a keybind to close your eyes, effectively blinding you while held but preventing eye damage from welding (good luck welding the correct thing) and granting immunity to flashes.
Really, I just want my more "gremlin" flavored characters to no mask weld more funny.
Edit: Better yet, have the welds done with your eyes closed be absolute shit. Custom examine text, and maybe a chance for the weld to break when force is applied.

i am not the biggest fan of this, but if it's added in any capacity, safety squints should only provide a 30% welding damage avoidance at the very most
i don't see a reason for this feature though

welds don't work like that in this game

Yeah I know but it'd be funny. Also I came up with this last night after having taken melatonin, and I was like half asleep so if it's dumb then don't take it too seriously. I still think it'd be funny though.

Welding irl is super fucking bright, closing your eyes won't do anything at all I'm pretty sure (idk Im not a welder)

Eyelids aren't that great at blocking out bright lights. I've wanted ways to cover my eyes when I see a flashbang get tossed out but that's a niche case and as silly as it is running works there. Maybe make lying down provide some flash resistance? "Hit the deck!" and all.

Thank you, it's an amalgamation of autism, several dozen careful curated (intentional) spelling and grammar errors for the purpose of funny, and a handful of (unintentional) spelling and grammar issues from a blend of typing too fast, dyslexia, and not proofreading my own stuff.
