HoS Application Axel Jerboa - drippin - 05-16-2025 Usual character name: Axel Jerboa/Raum-Bones BYOND username:Discord username (if you are on our discord): I am not. Recommended by (if applicable): None. Goon servers you play: I believe I used to play Goonstation 3 Roleplay: Morty when I started but that server died so now Goonstation 4 Roleplay: Sylvester is the only one I use. Reason for application: I really do love the security role and the urgency that comes with it in situations across the station and I feel pretty confidant I'm able to control situations as HoS whether it's an intense shoot out with an antag, a dispute between officers or staff, and giving swirlies to the clown. Security experience (300 word minimum):I definitely have the most experience with sec than any other job and I've been playing for about a year now(Not straight but on and off) and I have a blast almost every time. I was scared of trying sec at first because it seemed like a role where I really needed to be on edge constantly and worry about every single staffie being out to get me even if I make a justified arrest. One of my earliest rounds playing in general I got sec assistant and I felt stressed out because I knew at some point I'd be in a situation where I could get the situation twisted and arrest the wrong person or misunderstand space law and arrest someone unjustly and I begged I wouldn't have to get into any physical altercations. Actually things went great that round, I loaded in unsure of everything but even before I said anything here came HoS offering to teach the assistants(There were two of us). That entire 90 minute shift pretty much was ALL teaching and not even just security stuff they really helped me learn the game in general. It was such an awesome experience being new to the game and someone helps you understand so much, sacrificing their own time just to teach strangers for 90 minutes straight. After that point I quickly fell in love with security as a job and I played it exclusively for at least a week straight learning so much shadowing other security officers like a ride along. I truly looked up and wanted to be like these officers and help guide others while protecting the station. My time as a new fresh out the academy assistant came to an end so naturally I became a new fresh out the academy security officer. As security officer things did get way spicier way too fast with me having to deal with nukies only a couple rounds into the job. After finally getting to be a real officer I had felt so accomplished with myself I had many good rounds simply making arrests learning more etiquette on scene and getting better at the RP in those scenes. Security as a role for me isn't just about arresting or the fights against antags it is also very rewarding to just genuinely help someone out even with a none sec related issues. I have come a long way since my first shift as an assistant I am now confidant in my ability to make those split second round defining decisions even if they aren't always the best choice. There isn't a job more satisfying than security for me in all of SS13. Answer two or more of the following:
