The Fun Chemical Thread - Mouse - 05-09-2025 There's a lot of real-life chemical compounds that do a lot of interesting things. Some of them are in the game. Most are not. Here's a few that I think could be fun to play around with. 1. Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) - a colorless, odorless gas that is massively denser than air. It can be used as a party trick akin to helium, only instead of making your voice high pitched it makes it lower. You can also float a boat made of aluminum foil on it, but that wouldn't really work in game. 2. Titanium tetrachloride (TiCl4) - a liquid that, on contact with humid air (which is most air), produces a lot of smoke. And I mean a lot. The smoke consists of titanium dioxide (a white pigment) and hydrochloric acid. Yay! As demonstrated here you can also soak things in it and have them smoke too! 3. Mercury(II) thiocyanate (Hg(SCN)2) - produces a giant black serpentine shape when burned. The reaction is extremely toxic, if the words "mercury" and the prefix "cyan" didn't tip you off. Any chemistry nerds here? You probably know of a few fun ones. RE: The Fun Chemical Thread - Lefinch - 05-09-2025 ![]() ![]() ![]() C8H8 (They C me H8ing) PROS

How would we make it in game?
What would it do? Doused onto SMES units/APCs/Cells: enhances their total capacity in the same way GHC does for pressure thresholds on pipes. Automatically gives the RD a (real) Diploma. If 200u is injected an Arcfiend we're absolutely all completely screwed. |
