Shoving glasses items into goggles - Mikeistaken - 03-28-2025 As it currently stands, costume goggles is an accessory that fits on your head, kinda like how the cat ears is when nothing is put into them. My proposal is to be able to put glasses into the goggles like you can with cat ears, and wear them on your glasses slot. maybe be able to toggle them with an ability and said ability would also move them down to your eyes when toggled on. RE: Shoving glasses items into goggles - ZodiaDecius - 03-28-2025 It would definitely be a cool idea, and a great way to hide some pilfered sechuds as an antag. As someone who prefers the look of the yellow engineer goggles over the standard MESON, you get a hearty +1 from me. My only thought is how would it appear in the examine? RE: Shoving glasses items into goggles - Mikeistaken - 03-28-2025 I was thinking it would be x is on their eyes Or x is on their forehead depending on the state of the goggles currently if the code supports it, Maybe if people think it's slightly too powerful to allow the examine to show what's behind the goggles (they would be transparent enough) EX. X is wearing Reg costume goggles (meson visor) or somthing RE: Shoving glasses items into goggles - ZodiaDecius - 03-30-2025 No notes, I think that's a pretty good idea RE: Shoving glasses items into goggles - Mikeistaken - 03-30-2025 Edit: wrong post ignore me RE: Shoving glasses items into goggles - jan.antilles - 03-31-2025 This would be a problem for things that should be visible on your sprite for game balance purposes, like sunglasses/sechuds (that can block flashes) or NVGs/thermals. You can hide those things already with things like gas masks, yes, but those make it obvious that someone could be hiding flash-blocking eyewear. This would make it basically impossible to tell whether someone is wearing flash-blocking eyewear or just a purely cosmetic item. RE: Shoving glasses items into goggles - Silent Majority - 04-01-2025 Also it wouls take away from the tradition of the goggles, they do nothing RE: Shoving glasses items into goggles - Lord_earthfire - 04-01-2025 Yeah, not a fan. Something with function should be visible. RE: Shoving glasses items into goggles - Mikeistaken - 04-01-2025 (04-01-2025, 07:15 AM)Lord_earthfire Wrote: Yeah, not a fan. Also stated earlier, inspecting could give the name of what's behind the goggles. |
