you can't back out of any spells you attempt to cast as a wizard, this leads to having a targeting reticule for fireball all the time, and if you even try to Ctrl click someone to drag them around you will blow yourself the fuck up.

This is still an issue for any wizard that miss clicks a spell.

No, it's not. You can click on the appropriate ability button to disable the targeting reticule of that spell.
