Bortgers HoS Application - Bortger - 09-20-2024 Usual character name: Gordon Freeperson BYOND username: Bortger Discord username (if you are on our discord): shoopersman Discord Display name: Shopping Cart Recommended by (if applicable): N/A Goon servers you play: 1 Reason for application: I see that some new players want to try security in my time of playing, and I feel like if I was a HoS I'd could help them Security experience (300 word minimum): Stun Batons can be turned on and off and be used to subdue an antagonist, Harmbaton can be used to protect yourself without any charge if your life is in danger. Tasers are used as a stun baton but gun, there are also multiple different tasers like an Smg and Shotgun, some tasers have different modes like full auto and others. Barriers can be very useful at range to block bullets but can be broken at melee, but you can push back people at melee range which is also useful to subdue someone evil. To set someone for arrest or unrest you must log into a computer and then type "SECMATE" then type in "2" to mark someone for arrest or unrest, when you open there profile you can see there info, to mark or unmark someone type "8" you will see their crime in one of the fields and what there actively marked for, after you type 8 you will see lots of options like arrest parole etc, when you find the one you want type in the number beside the option you want to choose. Answer two or more of the following: What advice would you give to other sec players? Never ever ever EVER! Fight a strong antagonist such as Changling or Vampire alone, when facing these antags at least have a buddy. What was one of your favorite security moments? (Either playing as a sec officer or interacting with one) One time I was talking to an officer in the bar then a syndicate just ran past the bar with five security including HoS chasing them, and without saying a word he just joined the fray and chased the syndicate.  What game improvements or changes do you think would benefit security players? Add more different tasers Describe any differences in your playstyle when part of a full security team and when being the only security officer. When in a group I usually would try to limit ranged fight and more melee, this is the opposite with being the only sec officer around Answer one or more of the following fun questions (because it's important for the HoS to be fun): Write a poem to convey your thoughts on security/NanoTrasen/space/bees/anything related to SS13. Changelings, there ruthless pieces of biomatter that seek nothing but to add you to there hivemind, they seek and destroy any living being on the 13th station in space yet we must stand up to these useless melted exterminators, if we use force and destroy these Hiveminds we can make these melted evil people extinct and our children could see the world not through the eyes of a Changeling.  What's a security gimmick that you've ran or wanted to run?
