[idea] Research Shop / Research budget . - meaow589 - 08-09-2024

Research shop.
Type : Trader / Console
Description : The Research shop is the market center to use research budget to buy something for upgrade department.that might effect other department like the genetic use genebooth for upgrade crew gene.
Item list : that use for selling / buying / contract like QM console but only focus for science department.
- Artifact 
- Random chemical 
- Random upgrade tool (welding tool / bioRCD / Cloner upgrade / Voltron )
- Random Secret chem hint scroll 
- Vary cyborge upgrade 
- Random Geode
- Random Spatial interdicator mainboard/rod
- Random gear 
- Random limb part (Werewolf , chagnelling , bear)
- Random gene injector
- Random guide / script 
And have contract about chemical for to make money. in every market cycle 
The money income will go directly to Research budget.
and only RD can buy stuff form console but scienctist team still can check on it and do contract.
the reason why i think it good idea is right now sciencetist sometime have nothing to do and question about the research budget should belong to research department so this might make science try to productive for station by making money from analysis artifact and sell chemical product and reward them back with random thing to explore something that not normally found/produce in station.
The cons of it still have because half of it redundant to artifact/QM console/Random loot crate can give it.

I could see a new QM trader selling those things. Some kind of merchant in an isolated research outpost

What about grants for correctly analyzing Artifacts which the closer the detail is, the more profit you can get for research. It could be specific activation conditions or what not.

Edit: What about a Centcom research contest where you can choose which category to compete in for grant money. It can be using artifacts, Interesting mobs, charms, explosive, and etc.

That sound cool too may be get a token like fishing vendor and can trade for cool stuff.

Should be named something like Research contribution, and make research trading like NPCs that require items, certain artifacts, or even research collaboration on the station.

They could teleport important research material on the station. Take samples of strange phenomenon that happen on the station like spacial tears, or meteor shards, spacial distortions, bio magnetic fields, or pest infestations, and samples of Kudzu vines.

Edit: Maybe we can even add getting samples from AZ which could encourage more exploring as well. Moon dust, Mars dust, Lava, and even Void.
