Give Syndicate Cyborgs access to the Syndicate Radio Channel - DasBrain - 10-26-2023
Syndicate Cyborgs are unique in several ways:
- They can only be made by traitor Roboticists - either through a conversion chamber or when they buy a syndicate robot frame.
- They can see other syndicate affiliated antags.
- They have a unique, unchangeable lawset.
But unfortunately, they can be easily found out by other borgs/the AI.
Most Roboticists unfortunately do not bother with them - but they can make antagonist cooperation a lot easier.
To offset that and encourage Roboticists to either also get a syndicate wiretap upgrade or buy a headset from CARL, I suggest we give Syndicate Cyborgs access to the Syndicate Radio Channel.
(More people on that frequency => Higher chance of antags cooperating.)
What do you think?
Implementation details for code nerds:
- Technically, robots will support a radio upgrade (like the syndicate wiretap upgrade)
- The upgrade is applied when the radio is initialized or when a module is added to the cyborg.
- When a module is removed, the upgrade is removed from the radio.

But then I read: "Oh it's just the syndicate radio frequency"
And then I am like... yea that makes enough sense.
