The AI and Firelocks - McDogles - 02-03-2014

Give the AI the ability to turn on and off a fire alarm's heat sensor if it isn't already cut. This would give rouge AI's something else to do other then blow up the welding fuel tanks and turn off air bridges with people in them; Like say if the engine's pipes have ruptured and fire is flooding engineering, a rouge AI could turn off the fire alarms and bolt open the doors, filling the rest of the station with fire!

Yes please, it could also give the ai powers to just shut off fire alarms that are just being set off by annoying grief- erm I mean nerds with cakehats.

though a little popup would be nice saying "are you sure you want to turn this alarm off? if it is containing a fire, turning it off could let the fire loose, potentially harming humans!"

supporting this.

As an engineer, let me tell you that the popup should appear when enabling the alarm.
Goddamn firelocks are deathtraps!

Yes please, on the chance the engineers forget to cut the engine's fire alarms, it would be nice to not horrifically burn to death because the AI switches to another camera after it opens the firelock door and it immediately closes.

Re: The AI and Firelocks - Rob Stark - 02-03-2014

The AI should have complete control of everything on the station, as long as it's connected to it. This is sooooo important for the AI, especially if it's rogue.
