Sub forum: "Currently in development" - Kotlol - 05-23-2023

Lately more often then not.. we been getting suggestions that are "currently being worked on"

Since not all of us understand the "PR" system or notice the mess that is discord (Me included, I am old XD)
Why don't have a sub forum of "This is currently in development"

Just to avoid topics on things that are being worked on? I know it won't fully avoid it, but it will help a plenty to just have this.

Unless the admins and devs are fine mentioning what's being worked on every time, then ignore this.

Bold of you to assume people would read such a subforum before posting their ideas.

But also idk what's in development is very much in flux and up to personal whims of both devs and non-devs. But I'm not opposed to making a subforum for that under Ideas & Suggestions, could be interesting especially considering we have testmerges for WIP stuff now. Will wait for what other opinions there are.

Having some indication on the forums would be nice. Maybe a pinned topic.
Despite it being flux... we can use a topic that revers to links for the "most active updates"
(Aka PR and Discord)
But... atleast each post can be a dev or admin approved post to get an idea what's in development.

And yes it is bold to presume, as a lot of people do not browse the forums for old suggestions (COUGH STUN SUGGESTIONS COUGH)
But... rather have some reference material on it somewhere

I have been reminded that on Discord we have a Player Projects forum here which is basically what you suggest:

That would be a link for this "topic" or "sub forum" but some people do not want to use discord or navigate that XD

We just need this on the forums too.

Truth be told I find the forums to be an antiquated format, they're only used for discussions primarily, but for announcements, I'd find them too obtuse. What makes you think people would search that forum, if they don't even search this one? Anything not on the immediate first page might as well not be in development, because nobody's going to see it.

In fact, you'd basically be recreating the PR tracker from GitHub.

Discords are black holes for information and are a PITA to search through for stuff.
