Remove the teleporter malfunction - Twoflower - 01-26-2014

As it is now, the teleporter (old one, not telesci) has a pretty decent chance of teleporting you into space instead of your destination. This makes the teleporter a lot less useful than it could be, because who wants to use anything that has a chance of randomly ending your round in an unfun way? Removing the malfunction chance would let it be used more as a way for people to break into things and as a cool escape method for heads.

replace the near instant death teleporting with it teleporting you to telesci/space places that can be escaped (like the Void, the Diner, etc.) would be a lot nicer than what we have now

having a chance of mutating people's appearances (half-man half-fly, or something like non-popping meatcubes if emagged) would be a cool effect too

Or just missing arms/legs from a bad teleport.

Re: Remove the teleporter malfunction - Woohoo - 01-26-2014

A botched teleportation could have something like the following chances:

85% chance of temporary irritants (vision problems and/or vomiting.)
10% chance of the above plus a missing body part.
4.7% chance of mutation.
0.3% space.
0.1% chance of coming out as a gibbed mess.

You could just get rid of the last two but otherwise yeah.

I pretty much agree with everything Woohoo said. The teleporter spacing you is really goddamn stupid and should have been removed ages ago.

Yes. this list sums up what I would like from a teleporter malfunction.
