Crusader Kings 2 is a whole lot of fun and I want to organize a game. We can set up all kinds of cooky scenarios ahead of time or something and have a great time, so sign up here if you wanna play and we'll work out a time.

I love grand strategy and I LOVE ck2. i finished a game just before the new year where I united the western slavs and formed a bunch of marriage alliances with most of the baltic countries, when the mongols arrived to protect Europe. Of course it all went to shit a few decades because then everyone had claims on everything. count me in!

sons of abraham is really good, make sure you get it one day. it gives lots more flavour to catholics.
i'm a huge nerd and have all the unit packs and song packs. don't regret a single purchase. oh, except for sunset invasion. fuck sunset invasion.

Sunset Invasion is great because I left it on when I played the Song of Ice and Fire mod (which has far lower unit numbers than the base game, to reflect that it takes place on a smaller scale) and just as the war for Westeros was winding down hundreds of thousands of Aztecs appeared at King's Landing and rekd the entire country

I would appreciate sunset invasion a lot more if you could choose to join the winning side instead of just waiting for them to declare holy war every year and steal more of your shit... swearing fealty to the new aztec overlords and adapting their culture, earning the permanent scorn of Christendom in the process. Some folks did as much when the Mongols showed up, anyway..

I've done a World Conquest as a Norse Republic (which, granted, is like putting ten more training wheels on the tricycle), and that sorta burnt me out on CK2 for a while, so the prospect of playing with goons means I am fukkin' DOWN for this shit. I've got all the expansions, too.
Now, how do we handle countries? Dibs-calling? Lottery? We restricting ourselves to regions/religions? What about goon vassals? Rules of diplomacy, jolly co-operative blobbing, or is it free-for-all, nobody is safe, backstabs bonanza? What about recreating that one goon CK2 game that had goons be every single duke-and-above ruler in the Byzantine Empire, and the game devolved into a clusterfuck of betrayals, faction wars, and castrations.

The specifics of the game will depend greatly on who is around when we do it like how many people etc.
