Dip metal rods in a beaker full of some kind of fuel (probably magnesium, aluminum or iron), sulfur, some kind of oxidizer (Like potassium nitrate) and some kinda glue reagent.

you get a unlit sparkler
Set it on fire, sparks shoot out and it can heat things enough to set them on fire, as well as provide light.
Reasons for it a. because chemistry should have some fun fireworks type stuff that isn't primarily just a way to kill people. B. because other then running down the hallway lighting something flammable already on fire, or purposely hitting people with sparklers this shouldn't hurt anything.

Might b cool. Also magnesium sparklers are used irl to light thermite because of their high burn temperature, not that anyone uses thermite much anyway.

I like it. this would be really fun to mess with, plus a good way to set off all of that black powder that you have foamed everywhere.
