Remove powersinks from traitor uplinks and move them to commander uplinks.

i think power loss is a net negative for syndies once they're defending, they need to see people to shoot them.

I suggested a box of road flares (souped up glowsticks, basically) on the Cairngorm awhile back for precisely that reason!

The cairngorm has 3 sets of NVGs but considering how many nukies the average nuclear round has that isn't enough, super powered glow sticks (flares) would be a good solution imo. You still lose some vision if you don't set them up well but you're not as blind as a bat.
