And as whatever they need to count as to be used in the MPRT.  I think that this will be a valuable addition to Goonstation.

I want to shoot a potato at the nuclear operative with a potato from my riot launcher.

Although realistically speaking to make a potato gun, you would need some kind of fuel, like a combustible spray can.

Somewhat alternate idea that i think still captures the spirit: bootleg homemade spud gun (for potato based assault) that also incidentally happens to let you launch grenades, like the horrible lovechild of the zip gun and the grenade launcher.

When riot lauchers were first added one of the first things I tried was shove a potato into it

Let Potatos be used as ammo for all guns

Other potato sized (or smaller) things that could probably fit into a grenade launcher:
+ Lemons
+ Tomatoes
+ Eggs
+ T-shirts

Just let us make an item launcher in the nanofab.
1 rubber
3 metal

The idea being that it's just an elasticity-based launcher. Depending on item, it could be funny (potatoes) or deadly (meat cleavers). Three seconds reload to "wind it up" to make it more gimmicky than spammy and powerplay-y.
