Goonstation Monthly Contest Voting: March 2021 - Studenterhue - 03-28-2021

Welcome to the voting phase for the March monthly contest! I'm proud of you all for the amazing turnout: we had a record-breaking forty-one entries this time around! Let's hope we'll see similar numbers in later contests.

Each entry below has a corresponding number. Remember you can and are highly encouraged to vote for multiple entries! Voting will close Monday, April 5th, 2021. That's about 8 days of voting!

The seven entries with the most votes will get:
  • The Too Cool in-game medal. This lets you use this cute shelterbee in OOC as a emote of sorts and in-game as a "flying chat" element that floats above your head for a short while.
  • Their soda added into the game, with custom bottle sprite, description, and effects if applicable. Fair warning, this may take some time since I do not have developer access.
  • A sticker designed by Gannets!
Anybody who participated but didn't win will still get the "Fun Times" in-game medal, which allows you to become a living participation ribbon when dead (this works like ghost critters, so humans and robots can't understand you).

Also, to clear up some confusion: the Discord medal "?" role has nothing to do with this monthly contest or any of the previous contests. It is a vanity role awarded at the whims of admins, sparingly given. It is not given for winning a monthly contest. Please stop requesting it.

I've taken the liberty of adding in the proper spelling, punctuation, and capitalization, and since the game automatically formats every Grones soda into "Grones Soda [name]", I've also eliminated any redundant words like "Grones" or "soda". Entries have had their names removed and positions randomized to ensure fairness. Let me know if there is a problem with your entry or your entry is missing.

This month's contest has wrapped up! The top seven entries are:

If you're one of the seven listed here, please send Gannets a Discord PM (he's at Gannets#3235) with your address and sticker you want; his website should show all the stickers available. If you have any issues, contact him, rather than me. I can relay info to him, but that's all I can do since I don't have a hand in sticker fabrication or shipping, sorry.

The drinks will be in-game hopefully Soon ™. Be aware, if we think a soda might be a little too spicy for the soda vendors, we might add a different way of obtaining it...

Medals for both the contest winners and participants will be given out within a day or so. You don't need to ahelp and don't even have to be online to receive it, but if it's been a few days and you still haven't gotten your medal, don't be afraid to ahelp anyways to let us know. As a reminder:
  • Winners get Too Cool. You can enter :shelterbee: in OOC to use it like you would a Discord or Steam emote. You can also use ''Check Rewards'' command while in-game to redeem a in-game shelterbee "emote", which floats above your head for a few seconds before disappearing, sort of like the "flying chat" text. The shelterbee looks like this:

  • Participants get Fun Times. When you're a ghost, you can use the ''Check Rewards'' command to become a "living participation ribbon". Click on people to stick yourself onto them (this boots you from the ribbon.) You can also talk, but it's like ghost critters in that only ghost critters can understand you. Humans and robots just hear noises.
Also, again, the ? Discord role is not given for winning or participating in a monthly contest. It's basically a joke role given out for doing something extraordinarily funny, like fixing pissing or describing how you once fought in an illegal fighting ring against chimps of unusual ferocity, a little bit like how we veryyyy rarely give antag tokens as a reward for doing something impressive. I know more than a few people are confused about this, so spread the word.
