Medbay Vitals Monitors
  • Add some monitors, like the one in robotics, to the operating tables in the medbay.
  • Beeps and flashes according to patient health status
  • Add a sound effect if the patient flat-lines. This would add some ambiance to the otherwise silent medbay (apart from the occasional scream)
IVs
  • Could be a feature of the monitor
  • Allows a beaker to be emptied into a patient, at an adjustable rate
Example uses
  • Automatically load patient data, allow editing of medical history
  • Pre-filled with saline
  • Make your own mix of chemicals for crit patients, slap them in and shoot them up

I really just want this for the flat-line sound effect, but the other stuff sounds cool too.

That might be useful for surgeries because you won't need a medkit on hand to fix them up after you've stopped the bleeding or removed a bullet/implant/etc

In addition if the medical computer knows who is on the slab getting fixed, you could have it automatically update whether the person is dead, or if they had some kind of disease, or if they've been shot, etc.

For those chemists, people could replace the IV bags and fill them with toxic chemicals. Or you could just make them overdose on morphine, either way works.

IV drips will be coming along eventually, they were a planned part of Pathology 2 and I sprited the stands for them like eight months ago. No reason they have to wait for path2 though.
