Crown Virus , new virus to spice up rounds - HonkerBonker - 04-04-2020
1) Supposed to : be a thrilling challenge to a crew. Or turning crew into spooky black ghosts if they too slow and inept.
2) Description and code to reuse : code from disease "Clowning Around" ; but instead of clown gear , it spawns Obsidian Crown on the head , replacing current headgear.
*Complete with standart Obsidian Crown effects, subjects turns into black ghost that can make more crew into black ghosts if they stand still too long.
*Curable by spaceaillin.
*Transmitted by contact.
*Immunity gained after cured.
*Upgraded health analyzer gives hint about using antibiotics to cure it.
*Cause - admin spawned ; small random chance ( as with flu) .
So idea here that it's something crew can overcome without being pathology professionals, but it does present a danger so it cant be ignored and its thrilling.
Also Crown Virus , yeah. Honks and giggles.
Edit: NOT pathology stuff symptom ; supposed to be same type as common cold , the flu , space madness , clowning around and other such diseases that not require pathology research.

What you just described would probably work better as a Disease Reagent, which would have nothing to do with pathology at all.
