Hivemind members unclonable after being arm/leg'd - polivilas - 02-06-2020

Title. After scraping a brain out of the husk, putting it in a new body, cloner will say 'Mental Interface Failure' if the target got buttcrab'd, armworm'd, leg'd or etc. Seems a pretty bullshit way to make sure who got husked, stays husked.

I'm pretty sure this is intentional. It's shit to be unable to be cloned ever again, but it's shit for a limb minion (Limbion?) to go braindead because his controller is being cloned.

The blocking of cloning of a limb minion persists even after the limb minion dies too, so I really don't think that's intentional.

This has to do with how players are associated with their current character.
When somebody gets initially sucked, their consciousness will still be tied to their original body. This is why you can shuffle the brain into a new body to clone them.
When they get limbified, now their consciousness is tied to the limb critter. If you've ever cloned a puritan and noticed you can't rescan the original corpse, it is the same concept - the player got tethered to their exploding puritan body, leaving the old body useless.
