Contrary to the trait's description, eating food when in crit does not heal you.

It is not supposed to be able to heal you in crit. It only heals you when your health is above a certain threshhold, it's for minor damage only.

Looking at the wiki, I see that it clarifies that the threshold is 10 damage. In-game, however, all you get is " Food will heal you even if you are badly injured", which does not suggest minor damage.

I believe if you try to heal that way, you get a message saying you're in too much pain to be healed by food alone.
