See-through corrective eyepatches - Birdie - 09-20-2019 In ye olde times, before eye removal, medical eyepatches would act like cool, pirate-y prescription glasses. Eyepatch wearing makes you COOLER by at least .5 percent. Could there be a variant of eyepatch that doesn't inflict near blindness, and maybe even acts like the glasses? It could be made of that one fabric used in halloween costumes where you have a hood and a screen of black fabric over your face you can still kinda see through. This kind could tint vision like sunglasses. Alternatively, missing eyes or wearing eyepatches giving a big miss chance, or making your projectile aim stray a lot might be nice. Also, combining two eyepatches into one doublepatch, worn over both eyes, for proper yarr-harring. The UI being halfway blocked from missing vision in one side of your head is really cool, for sure, but also kind of awful to play with. Also Manta is very cool and good. RE: See-through corrective eyepatches - Flaborized - 09-20-2019 You can actually wear an eyepatch without being half-blinded by poking a hole in it by smacking it with a screwdriver currently! RE: See-through corrective eyepatches - saccharineChampion - 09-20-2019 I particularly like the double patch idea, I'm a bit surprised it isn't a thing already! The prescription eyepatch idea doesn't particularly appeal to me, but I don't see anything wrong with it either. Maybe it could be craftable with a poked-through eyepatch and a pair of glasses? Come to think of it, does the poked-through eyepatch have a different sprite? In which case a corrective eyepatch could be a good compromise.
