Please for god's sake make these less available, literally every single round consists of some fuck spamming them down the escape arm, and every Syndicate round is shit on because everyone has access to pods

Seriously there is like 100000000000000 of them everywhere. What was meant to be something for just heads of staff became something for the QM's, two assistants, every security guard who wants one, and the clown.

phasers are handy for salvagers so you're not helpless against drones, so maybe just reduce the damage they do to mobs/other pods

I don't mind them being available to QM so they can salvage but literally everyone can get a phaser by waiting 20 second at a manufacturer, it sucks

Phasers already do piddly damage to pods and drones. This is why smart pilots find literally almost anything else to defend their pod with.

Reduce the damage and say they're locked phasers or something. This would also open up the option of hiding/selling unlocked pod phasers somewhere, which can be the same as we have now.

A more fun option could be giving the phasers a cooldown period, call it to prevent overheating.

Add emagging phasers that can fire a lot more, but have a chance of exploding.

At least add a cost bump, the manufacturers start with enough materials that you don't need to do anything to make them.
