You should gain peoples fingerprints by a specific action that can only be done with people's consent (a pop up box pops up asking if you want to give them your fingerprints), or by targeting their hand/arm with the item while they are onconsious.

Aiming at someone's hands with latex gloves on help intent, so they don't get TOO suspicious. Latex gloves need more functionality, but too easy?

How about using a fingerprint card on somebody with help intent gives them a message "Publord is trying to take your fingerprints", and takes 15 seconds. If they move, you get a partial print. Anyone who picks up a blank fingerprint card without wearing gloves automatically prints the card with their own fingerprint. So the detective would need to wear his gloves, and get someone to sit still long enough to take their print.

Make yourself a ghetto disguise by spray-painting your jumpsuit if you don't have the crystals to spare on a chameleon suit. Make yourself some devious traps by spray-painting deathweed green. Make yourself a mortal enemy by spray-painting the HoS pink. Can also be used on ID cards to spray-paint over the details, and make it impossible for anyone to read who the card belongs to. (AI and doors can still tell, though.) Can be used on anything, walls, people, items, whatever.

Suicide + spraypaint message suggestion: You suffocate on the spraypaint attempting to get high.

Also spraying the wall should display a gang insignia of the traitor's choice.

Oh one more thing, Spraypaint + open flame = ghetto flamethrower.

Ofcourse that might be a terrible idea, but I think dudes grabbing lighters in gang mode and then trying to set each other on fire would be hilarious.

Especially it's bound to finish the round up quicker because half the gangs will inevitably set themselves on fire.

What would an emagged emag even do?

Idea: Emagged Emag unlocks more stuff, but at the risk of exploding in someones hand.

It's basically overclocked without any concept of safety.

Flip side? After a few seconds, both emags explodes like a EMP, and you lose 8 or so telecrystals worh of items.

Is it worth it to do so and walk through through the Robotist's lab? Yes. Ye sit is.

nah. Do what weavel suggested but let it spark and super heat the person holding it so not only is the wielder of an emagged emag super obvious, but he constantly getting burn damage.
You're a giant annoying target that will probably be killed by a mob (and rightly so)

A traitor item for geneticists that improves activated mutations would be cool.
Like letting the immolate power target things other than yourself. Or being able to punch like a taser with an improved SMES Human.

Ye Olde Lancer Kit:

The lance kit would be a box with the following items.

The Lance: The star of the show, the thing that hurts people really badly. A sub-decent weapon by itself but relies highly on the boots mentioned right about now.

The Boots of Lancing (Name in need of deshittening.) The boots work similar to the rocket boots except that they have an unlimited amount of charges, it would have a short cooldown of about 10 or 20 seconds. It's to be used with the lance, when the lance is held and you're using the boot ability, you will deal damage to anyone you come into contact with based on how long you've been charging; if you were to charge from one end of a hallway and hit someone on the other end, they would take major damage, get sent flying and maybe some other bad things. The boots are useful for their unlimited usage but rocket boots can be used with the lance.

The Shield: When the shield is held, you will not be stunned when you hit a wall when charging and will not stumble and drop things or be stunned when hit by tasers while charging.

Share your thoughts about it.

Medieval flail.

Initially I was gonna suggest nun chucks non traitors could accidentally smack themselves with, but since ninjas are a tgstation thing, and the wrestle belt already exists, next best thing.


Swing it around, look like a nerd, maybe knock people out with it. Since flails tend to have those spikey ball things at the end, perhaps it could slow you down but also be really painful and cause victims to bleed.

Give it to a non traitor to knock themselves out with (maybe have a suit of armor or some dumb implant that gives medieval speech and aptitude with a medieval flail. I dunno)

Get made fun of because you are a renaissance nerd.
