You just get used to it, in a lot of other games I play I have atrocious ping.

I don't notice that much of a difference between 30 and 130 ping. Byond lag tends to counter latency issues. Granted I'm all old and slow and stuff. I blink and the grass has grown an inch.

I also want to reiterate that the ping counter is likely hilariously inaccurate in terms of displaying actual latency. It simply works by sending a request to the server and timing the response every 30 seconds (to avoid a potentially ironic situation of the ping function from lots of players actually causing server lag). I mean it's fine for comparative purposes like this thread but yeah, just don't be surprised if you get ping numbers that don't compare to other games or whatever.
