Sorta. Since they're labeled ithillids in the code they're probably illithids, as Cirrial stated.
That said - considering that SS13 is basically a mix of futurama and sealab2021,
would fit right in.

I'm pretty sure this got implemented ingame because the purple dudes now have squid faces
