Yeah human shields are not really a "thing", more a byproduct of how choke-grabs work. I'd love for them to become a proper function eventually

While I'm not a particular fan of this idea, I would thoroughly approve of some implementation of human shields.
Choke-grabs are unreliable for reasons already explained.
If changed so that it requires an aggressive grab, so you can literally during a firefight click a player that may or may not be on the ground which shifts them to standing position and/or prone to being hit by a projectile.
It may not even require an aggressive grab.
