I dunno about you, but I always tend to have a slight delay between hitting the number keys and actually having my intent switch, so the idea of doing that during a fight, while taking my fingers away from the movement keys, just seems clumsy to me.
Advanced grab techniques would slot nicely into wrestling style combat
