As an RP denizen, I like to chit-chat with my AI. Sometimes the AI is busy because the station is on fire and they go in the shell. Then they can't hear me as I spout inane ramblings through the intercom that they set to 144.7. I don't like that! AI shells already get access to all the other channels in their shell; and with the AI intercoms being placed there explicitly to communicate with the AI it doesn't seem right for them not to have it in a shell.
