Connection issues

Hi folks, I recently had to reinstall BYOND entirely and I can't connect to any servers at the moment. I've no idea where to put this other than here so idk please help, i've done the most recent update and 502.something as well and I get as far as the end of the advertisement before it says Connection closed.

I entirely uninstalled BYOND and reinstalled the latest version but I still can't get ingame from either the Wiki links or the BYOND server browser, please help i cant space man

Did you make sure to delete the byond cache folder?

I genuinely don't even know what that is. I recently had to backup my entire computer and reinstall my OS, so maybe the old files are still somewhere in the backup? I'll have a look through and see if I can find them.

In your byond folder there is a key.txt file, try deleting that and logging into the pager again.

Otherwise, try disavling the AV for byond, or checking your network settings for a firewall or proxy. urgh, I have no idea what else.

turns out, I wasn't logged in, and BYOND didn't tell me!!!!

(it means byond is dumb and I am not)
